Once the still imagery established the look and feel of the project, I extended the exploration into video. The focus was on bringing the textures to life while preserving their realism and tactile quality, so the movement felt like a natural continuation of the images.

In a nutshell
An exploration of ingredient textures and human skin through AI-generated imagery and video. Using tools such as Magnific, HyperAgent, Higgsfield, and Midjourney, I developed tactile visuals focused on realistic surfaces and fine micro-detail.
(art direction)
The process began by exploring the relationship between ingredients and human skin. I treated both as tactile surfaces, looking for ways to highlight their natural qualities through close-up compositions, controlled lighting, and a strong sense of materiality.

For the body-focused visuals, I wanted to create believable people without basing their identities on anyone in a reference photo. Each subject was developed from a detailed text prompt, building their appearance from scratch rather than using a real person’s likeness as a starting point.
To bring more realism to their skin, I created a dedicated AI agent and supplied it with a curated set of skin-texture references, including photographs I took myself and selected stock imagery. These references guided the surface
details—such as pores, tonal variation, and natural imperfections—while each subject’s identity remained prompt-generated. The goal was to create convincing human texture without using a specific person as a model.
